Just been though this loop with an IPAQ 3970. The only way I could get
the upgrade to Pocket PC 2003 to work correctly was to reinstall the
original IPAQ bootloader.
I also found that the only PocketPC image I could get to install and boot
was that from the feed pointed to by the Wicki page for reinstalling
pocket PC. I had many attempts where the image would load and flash but
then would not boot.
