[iPAQ] bricked h5555

i had familiar 0.8.0 gpe running on my h5555, but needed to put wince back
on it. i had saved the wince and asset files before installation.
sending the wince_image.gz file back to the 5555, it was too large so then
i:

dd bs=1k count=32256 if=wince_image of=root_image

gzipped -9 that and did another load root, and sent the root_image. the
ymodem transfer appeared to go fine, when it was time to boot wince, the
loader was no longer taking keystrokes. i let it sit for half an hour just
to be sure, still no response. i restarted the comm ap--no response. then
i tried to reset the h5555 with no result. letting the battery sit out for
half an hour and then trying a reset.. zip..

so, i guess i bricked it, unless you have a nifty magic cookie sequence i
can try.

is it time to have CRL restore it? how do i proceed?
