[iPAQ] Trying to use synce fails, wince cuts ppp

Hi !

In order to transfer bootldr to my ipaq, I'm trying to run synce. The
setup is an HP 5500 with the serial cradle connected to a keyspan serial
adapter to my linux laptop (powerpc machine).

When I do synce-serial-start, the thing kicks properly on the ipaq side,
i see them negociating, pppd is brought up... and disconnects right
away.

If I enable pppd verbose logs, I see that the negociation seem to happen
properly, but once established, wince disconnects immediately.

Is there a known issue with those models ? It's running PocketPC 2003
premium. Once thing I noticed from the pppd log is that a couple of
times, the ipaq tries to enable mppe (microsoft ppp encryption) which
isn't supported by the "default" pppd on my debian system it seems...
