I have used both the Compaq and the Lucent card with my laptop running
Win2K and I have to say that the compaq drivers for 2K SUCK bigtime. A
lot strange "features" like you get popup windows saying that the card
is not insterted when you don't want to use it. If you do you use and
accidentaly pull out the card you "loose" all contact with the PCMCIA
ports and have to reboot. The right way is to shutdown the device before
puloing it out BUT you cannot do that with the compaq card as the driver
complains that the card is in use, of course it is in use, that is what
I want to stop ;-) No such problems with the Lucents cards.
BUT as I haven't received my PCMCIA jacket yet I haven't tried it with
the iPaq.
