Re: [iPAQ] Yet another iPAQ version question (with a twist)

I remember a conversation with the product folks that they were having
trouble with the paint on the buttons coming off in use, and that they
were likely to have to change the buttons to solve this problem.

This smells to me like a production change to resolve this issue.
