[iPAQ] cross compile module problem

Hi all,
     I compiled a module on my pc successfully but the cross compiled module
fails when insmod. (cross compile succeed but insmod fails). The error
information was a line: insmod: unresolved symbol discontig_node_data. It
was caused by a line:mem_map_reserve(virt_to_page(addr));
when comment it, the module runs. why? Does it because the ipaq does not
support mmap?
