Hi,

I'm trying to get linux running on my h6340 ipaq, so I start looking around
on the internet to see if somebody has already done it or start to port
linux to h63xx family.

One of the things I learned that h63xx family uses OMAP 1510 processors from
TI and they have already start porting linux to OMAP platforms, which I have
already compiled.

But before I try it I wanted to see if I can backup the existing OS or if I
can launch linux from WINCE, or have linux installed in SD card and use
Multi boot.

So far I found tool that can be use to backup the existing image
"BootBlaster" but it's designed for the old version of ipaq 38xx, 39xx .. ,
and anther tools called CyaCE which allows me to load linux kernel from
WINCE but again it's designed for the previous iPaqs.

So the questions is

1. Can change the above tools if the answer yes where I can get the
information i.e. device spec?
"I have done a lots of work with unix/Linux pu this my first time with
Embedded devices like PDAs"
2. Is there any tools out there can do the something?
3. For the spec do I need to contact HP or TI? "I have emailed HP and got
nothing so far"

Anyway I hope someone will have the answer or at less can point me to the
right direction.

Thanks
