Now you can proceed with installing Familiar. Reset the iPAQ again, but
this time hold the centre of the 5-way button pressed. The iPAQ will
vibrate 0.5 seconds and then go quiet. You will see nothing on its screen.
At this point the unit is prepared to communicate via the serial interface
to a dumb terminal. Use your PC with Hyperterminal (under Windows) or with
minicom (under Linux) as a terminal. Press enter in the terminal and you
will see the prompt of the bootldr of the iPAQ. Type "help" for options.

Load the image of Familiar. In order to do that type "load root <enter>".
Then by means of the terminal program send the image file (.jffs2) into
the iPAQ. This will take 20 min.

Then you will see the prompt again. At this stage you reset the iPAQ
again. It will show white screen in a minute, this is a bug, ignore it.
Reset it one more time, and Familiar will load in a minute or so.
