Greetings,

I have an IPAQ 3950. It originally came with PocketPC2000.
I installed BootLoader and was successful in installing Familiar/GPE, everything went fine with this install. I, of course, saved WINCE_IMAGE.GZ file and coppied it to my desktop for safekeeping.

I didn't realize that I could not get SDIO support for my IPAQ while using Linux, so I would like to restore the original PocketPC2000 (Wince_Image.gz).

Note:
I installed the BootLoader and Familiar/GPE using my CF card (via expansion pak).

I have tried to restore PocketPC2000 (Wince_Image.gz) using BootLoader, but it gives me an "unexpected End Of File" message. I have tried checking the file out with several different archive utilities (WinZip, Ark, etc) but they also indicate that the Wince_Image.gz file is corrupt. Another indication of the file being corrupt is that it is only around 6MB in size. (Strange, because when I saved the backup file, there was no indication from BootBlaster that there was any problem)

I don't know what to do at this point.

I could always send it to HP/Compaq, but that will cost $80 US minimum plus shipping.

I have EUU4_ENG update files, but these have an ndf extension. Is there any way that I can create a new Wince_Image.gz file from the ndf file, or do you have any other suggestions of what to do if my Wince_Image.gz file is trashed?

Thank you very much for reading my e-mail.
I really stummped here on what to do now.

Thanks,
