applications and information you have stored unless you make your own image.

Hello,
I'm in the process of installing linux on my ipaq. I've backupped the
bootloader, but everytime I want to backup the wince image it's only
17 MB. Also when I try to check the image with gunzip, it doesn't
unpack because of 'premature end of file'.
Is it true that without that image I can't restore pocket PC, if
something goed wrong?
