Well all if you aren't up to speed on my previous situation I'll repost
here:

"Anyone who can offer assistance would make my day. The IPAQ 5550 start
continuously buzzing after adding power to it. I've tried a hard and soft
reset. I've tried leaving the battery out for awhile, then retrying to
reset it. I've also tried to get anything from the Hyperterm and I've
gotten nothing. No boot prompt, no bootloader loading... anything I can do?

Thank you in advance"

Alright. So that being said, here is how I fixed it. If you encounter this
problem, let the IPAQ discharge its battery completely by buzzing. It takes
awhile, but be patient. I taped mine to the table and let it go. After the
battery is completely discharged, remove the battery and wait about 15
minutes. Reinstall the battery, connect the power to the IPAQ and let it
charge for about 24 hours. You won't see any LED indicators that the
battery is charging, and this can be quite distressing, but just hand in
there. After you have waited 24 hours, press the hard reset button with the
stylus while holding down the "contacts" button. Now press the reset button
with the stylus after you release the contacts button. You should now see
your system boot Linux. Awesome. I hope this helps, and if anyone needs
clarification just ask. I write worse than my five year old daughter.
