[iPAQ] Built new image with OE, buttons and sound not working

(I'm not sure whether this should be on this list or on the OE mailing list)

yesterday, I managed to get an opie-image out of the OE build system
(for my IPAQ 5550). After playing around with it, I noticed today that
two not so important things are not working:

1.) I get no reactions from the buttons and the joypad. On IRC, pb
gave me the hint that h5400_asic was responsible for that. The module
is loaded (see my list of loaded modules at the bottom of the mail),
but I can't get them to work in OPIE.

I also tried to flash one of the unstable images
(bootopie-v0.7.2+unstable16-h3900.jffs2) from pb's site, which
responds to button presses (strangely enough, the joypad axes are
interchanged)

Any hints on what could be wrong here?

2.) I get no sound, which is not surprising since no modules are
loaded. I also tried installing
kernel-module-h5400-audio_2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh37-r0_ipaqpxa.ipk, which
was also produced by OE, but the IPAQ remains silent.

On the above mentioned image, I got the impression that OSS modules
were used, but I dug up a message on this list's archive which
mentioned that there is a switch to ALSA going on. The alsa-driver
package however is tagged non-working :-(
