[iPAQ] I think I bricked my 3660 ipaq

Trying to follow the instructions at

aq%20iPAQ%20Update for restoring from a Compaq rom update.

It got through the ymodem upload and then erased the flash and programmed
the new flash nearly all the way through and then rebooted before I had a
chance to do anything. The Boot loader was 2.20.something

The unit has no display, I have reset it several times now and it still does
not respond, however the PC can see a USB device trying to connect, so I
guess there is some base level of connectivity.

I actually waited until I got my new battery so that I didn't have any
issues in the upload etc, and now I have bricked it.!!

Any suggestions on how I may be able to unbrick the unit? All suggestions
appreciated.
