True enough. I think there is enough reverse-engineered information
floating around on the web by now that one could probably write a 2d
accelerated driver without too much trouble. But I don't think there
are any programming details available for the MPEG accelerator blocks,
which is a shame.
ATI does have an official developer program for the Radeon series. I
guess that would be the best channel to use for obtaining Imageon
documentation as well.
