[iPAQ] Compiling gtk for ARM

Hi,
 
I wanted to know how you guys compile GTK for the iPAQ ARM platform.
 
Do you cross-compile it on an X86 or do you compile it natively on one of the skiff ARM machines?
 
I just found it difficult to cross-compile and wondering if someone has been easily able to do this without any manipulations.
