the easiest way to do it at the moment is OpenEmbedded. It will do the most
of the work setting up a crosstoolchain and finding out which parameters
are necessary to build for you.
Maybe check out http://www.openembedded.org/oe_wiki/

In openembedded CVS tree should be all necessary patches as well.
