[iPAQ] Ipaq H4550 Battery NOT charging

I have install bootopie-v0.7.2-h3900.jffs2 onto my ipaq to fix the
suspend/resume bug, but now my charger is not registering and my battery
is going flat. 9% remaining. The green light (next to power button) does
not light up for anything. I hve tried the reset, hard-reset (both
bottom btns + reset) and a awkward reset (in cradle with paperclip +
both bottom buttons). It still doesn't register charge.

Cat /proc/hal/battery says

Ac status 0 offline
