Hi
Unfortunately I'm not at home for a couple of weeks and I don't have h3650
backup images anyway.
As far as I know the Compaq update should have *.bin images in it
somewhere. I guess you could down load these instead it would obviously
take longer because they are not compressed.
As a safety measure I wouldn't bother reloading the bootloader just yet. If
the bootloader is corrupted it's a soldering iron and JTAG job to fix it.
If you have access to a CF card and iPAQ sleeve, it may be easier to copy
the *.bin files onto a CF and just use the copy command instead,
boot> copy hda1:/wince_image.bin root
I've not tried any of this so proceed with caution

Subject: Re: [iPAQ] Help with restore wince
Hi again...
I have serial cable now. But I have next problem. Few days ago I had hdd
format in my pc and I've lost my backup files.
Can you help me with restore wince from original Compaq Update? I have iPAQ
h3650.
I've tried this site:
http://www.handhelds.org/z/wiki/Restoring%20Windows%20CE%
20from%20the%20Compaq%20iPAQ%20Update but it's still empty (no
instructions).
Maybe you have backup (wince.gz)? If yes, can you send it to me (at this
address)?
If no, please send to me instructions how to restore ipaq from compaq ipaq
update.
Thank you very much for your help!
Best Regards
