Hi All

Hopefully you'll be able to put me out of my misery one way or another
with my foldable keyboard...

I have a 3970, running familiar 0.7.2, that I'm trying to use my HP
foldable keyboard with. I've followed the instructions in the FAQ at
http://www.handhelds.org/handhelds-faq/keyboards.html
In brief:
1. Remove any reference to console in /boot/params
2. Check getty doesn't run in runlevel 4- it doesn't
3. Reboot
4. Telinit 4
5. Modprobe the h3600_microkbd module
6. Cat /dev/microkbd/foldable

It's at this point my troubles begin...
The output from step 6 is
cat: /dev/microkbd/foldable: Device or resource busy

I've searched through the wiki and the mailing lists, and came across this
http://www.handhelds.org:8080/wiki/FoldAble
which implies that the h3600_stowaway module is needed. I installed that
and tried again, failing at step six with the same problem.

Other posts in the mailing archives, both on this list and familiar,
suggested that there was something holding the console open from bootup;
the culprit mentioned was sshd. I stopped this, to no avail- the device
or resource busy error appears once more

Can anyone offer any advice, even if it's to get a different model keyboard?

TIA
Darren
