[iPAQ] Ipaq 5550

Hello,

  Currently I am having problems using my Ipaq 5550 with Gnu/Linux because
of 2 major problems:

  After installing Familiar with Opie, I am unable to use more than 2
settings for the brightness of the LCD display, both of them being way
to dark to be usable.

  ipkg keeps giving me a seg fault, which basically means I cant update my
installation at all. I checked the network connection works by pinging
the Ipaq, and running ntpdate, both works fine.

I hope somebody can give me some hints, since I would really like to use
Gnu/Linux on this nifty piece of hardware, and others seem to be able to
do it.
