[iPAQ] no copy and paste

Hi I am new to the list,

I just got a used ipaq 3630 and want to put linux on it.

I am able to connect to my ipaq through linux a number of ways but I
can't seem to get the backup files off the ipaq.

The situation is as follows:

when I try to connect from my linux box with ftp, it asks for a password
and without one connection fails. The directions I read said that the
ftp server won't accept a password. This left me stuck.

I then tried the nifty dccm/raki connection. I connected no problem but
when I try to grab the file from the ipaq I get the error the file
doesn't exist...

If this was linux not an ipaq I would guess a permissions problem.

This sorta baffles me.

Anyone have an idea?

Also I was confused as to what version of the bootblaster/loader I
should use.

Thanks
Aaron
