[iPAQ] ipaq internet connection setup after ppp setup

Hi,

I have ipaq h3650 and run windows xp pro.
I followed instructions in http://www.handhelds.org/z/wiki/WinxpPPP for
ppp connection and ipaq is connected to windows.
The above link is not clear about internet connection setup, so i'm just
stuck.
I'm using my college network.
Could anyone describe details about routing setup, contents of
/etc/resolv.conf?

In ipaq, i did
>route add default gw <my pc's gateway address>

and I edited /etc/resolv.conf to
nameserver <my pc's nameserver address>
nameserver < " 2nd nameserver address>
search pdx.edu

In addition to these, I edited /etc/hosts and /etc/ppp/options as in
ppphowto.

After these, I could ping to ipaq itself and my pc, but ping didn't work
with gateway and other outside webpages.
My college has firewall.

What am I missing? Do I need proxy+? I don't see /etc/dillord in my ipaq
which is mentioned in ppphowto.
