Sorry about the double post, but the HOWTO did not indicate that the
email address was a mailing list, so I've now subscribed.
I loaded the familiar 0.7.2 release, with bootldr 2.21.12, on an Ipaq
3800 series.
I'm sorry, but the instructions aren't the clearest. I assume when you
say "press space several times when booting", you mean that the Ipaq
should be connected to the serial port of a PC, with a terminal
emulator, etc.
I've tried that several times, and the boot process just continues on (I
can see everything in the terminal emulator just fine), until I get a
"familiar" login prompt. I can login successfully, so I know the cable,
connection, and emulator are set up correctly. By pressing the
spacebar, I NEVER get a "boot" prompt.
When I press the center joypad button, and use the stylus to reset, I
get the bootldr screen, and there is a hardware button set to "Serial
Bootloader Console". When I press that - I DO get the "boot" prompt,
but keystrokes from the terminal emulator are not received.
So - HOW DO I RESTORE WINCE?
