Hi all

I have trouble connecting a Navman GPS sleeve to my iPAQ 5550
I already saw some topics in this list and elsewhere but nothing helps...

OS is Familiar v0.7.2+unstable6, running Opie
Kernel is 2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh36
Navman is "ipaq gps v2.0A"

When I insert sleeve first time I get :
~ # dmesg
opt_on: gpa=f30c0008 setp=1
navman_gps_cf_probe_sleeve: Navman GPS/CF Sleeve serial_port=0
serial_ioaddr=d0a87000
register_serial: port=d0a87000 irq=31 flags=1000040
ttyS03 at port 0xd0a87000 (irq = 31) is a 16550A
~ # ls /dev/tt
/dev/tts/ /dev/tty /dev/tty0 /dev/tty1 /dev/tty2 /dev/tty3
/dev/tty4 /dev/tty5 /dev/ttyC0
~ # ls /dev/tts/
0 1 2 3

and it creates a new /dev/tts/n (here 3).
But I cant connect to it using gpsd, on any /dev/tts/(...)
At best it says status = no GPS, at worst it crashes after first command.
What is that ttyS03, how do I use it ?

If I re-insert it, dmesg says :
h3600_sleeve_insert: *** Error - sleeve insert without sleeve remove ***
opt_on: gpa=f30c0008 setp=1
navman_gps_cf_probe_sleeve: Navman GPS/CF Sleeve serial_port=0
serial_ioaddr=cca87000
register_serial: port=cca87000 irq=31 flags=1000040
register_serial(): autoconfig failed
 h3600_generic_sleeve.c: register_serial() at 0xcca87000, irq 31 failed

but all acts the same.

Does somebody have an idea how to connect to the GPS ? I really need to...
I dont care about putting back an old version of familiar (but I need Opie),
so if you know a version that works with that hardware, please tell.

Thanks in advance !

Regards,
Guilaume Deshors
