[iPAQ] USB Issue

I have an iPAQ h3850 running familiar 0.72 with the
Opie distribution. The problem that I am having is
that my unit always reports an unknown USB device in
Windows XP everytime I put it in its cradle. The only
way to avoid this problem, is to reset and start the
unit using the boot loader. It will then recognize it
as a USB NIC. What can I do to fix this?
