[iPAQ] Problem backing up wince.gz

Hi,
 
I'm trying to install linux on my Ipaq 5555, but when I try to save a
backup of wince.gz, Bootblaster crashes. It just closes and leaves a
17mb wince.gz file in My Documents. It crashes about two minutes after
the first bar shows up.
Actually, I just tried it again and it froze after the first bar showed
up. Had to soft reset.
 
Any ideas why this is happening?
