[iPAQ] missing battery status on H38xx

I plugged in the HP CF Extension Plus sleeve (1 CF slot + battery, I
think 1400mAh). At first, nothing worked, but after rebooting, my 3835
recognized the CF card in the slot. However, the opie battery monitor
still did not register an extension sleeve battery.

I'm running Opie 1.0.3 on Familiar 0.7.2. I examined /proc/hal/battery
and /proc/asic/battery, and neither one registers but the one original
battery, so it's not just opie-batteryapplet.
