Did'nt your mum always tell you to make sure you had clean undies in case you were hit by a bus, and
always make sure you have backups in case you want to go back to the original OS and bootloader?

If the software in the 3835 is the same as he software in the 3870 then you will find a copy of the
bootloader at
http://www.wasp.net.au/~brad/saved_bootldr.gz
for about the next day or so, or until I remember to delete it.
