[iPAQ] bootopie-v0.7.1-h3600.tar

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I have a IPAQ H3870. I just changed the system from Windows CE to Familiar
0.7.1 & Opie 1.0.0.

I installed also the packages: opie-sheet_1, opie-usermanager_1 and
opie-write_1.

I created a user "xyz", so I have not always to use the user root (which is a
good practice).

- My first problem is the Backup under the user "xyz" which will create a
file:
/root/Documents/20030920.bck with no permission of course.
The backup program should create a file /home/"xyz"/Documents/20030920.bck.

With the calendar I have the next problems:
- It is not possible to change an event in a series of repeated events.
For instance, if you have every week a meeting, and only for one specific week
the event is held one hour earlier. If you change that specific event in that
week, all events are changed. A similar problem exists with holidays.
- It is not possible do define the last day (saturday for instance) of every
month.

Problems with OPIE-SHEET:
- some important functions are missing:
                INTEGER() [change float to integer],
                IF-THEN-DO() [condition tests]
- some nice functions are missing:
                DATE() [DATE(yy,mm,dd) = number of days since 1.1.1980]
                YEAR() [year from number of days since 1.1.1980; "reverse" of DATE()]
                MONTH() [month from number of days since 1.1.1980;"reverse" of DATE()]
                DAY() [day from number of days since 1.1.1980;"reverse" of DATE()]
                TIME() [TIME(hh,mm,ss) = fragment of day]
                HOUR() [hour from fragment of day; "reverse" of TIME()]
                MINUT() [ minuts from fragment of day ;"reverse" of TIME()]
                SECOND() [seconds from fragment of day; "reverse" of TIME()]
                CHOICE() [CHOICE(x;value1,value2,...,valueN); 1<=x<=N]
- a spreadsheet ABCD created by OPIE-SHEET, where ABCD.desktop is deleted,
can't be open by OPIE-SHEET

Problems with OPIE-WRITE:
- a RTF file created by OpenOffice can't be opend by OPIE-SHEET, it does not
appear in the open file menu
- RTF files can't be created by OPIE-WRITE
- a HTML file created by OpenOffice appears in the open file menu, but if it
is selected the OPIE-WRITE program disappears after a certain time.
- "quit without save" is not possible
- "save as" is not possible

Other nice applications would be:
- Database
- Spellingcheck
- Dictionary (German, English, French)
- Route planer for Europe

With all this problems I am thinking about to go back to Windows CE.
I would prefer to keep Linux on my IPAQ.
