Hi,
After months of hesitation, I have finally decided to switch from
PocketPC2002 to Familiar Linux on my Ipaq 3850.
(Due also to a good article in a french Magazine : Linux Magazine
Num.53, september 2003)
I have downloaded BootBlaster_1.18.exe and bootldr-2.18.01.bin then
managed to save the original bootloader, wince and asset.
Before going futher (flashing the new bootloader), I want to make sure :
- that the bootloader I downloaded is the right one and have no Pb
with my 3850 (there are more recent bootloader in the download area)
- that familiar + Opie or GPE will fit on my 64Mo Ipaq (I have no
additional memory card)
Is the downloading of familiar via serial connection to my Linux host
feasable or should I make the effort of setting up an USB connection ?
Also, I have pb deciding witch of GPE or Opie to try...
Thank you for the good documentation on the site. I am sorry to ask
these questions but it is still unclear to me.
Jean-Michel.
