Hi !
Reading all those messages about dead or halfdead ipaqs doesn't really push
me into trying it myself, so the question comes up:
Is there anything going on to write an OS-Loader that could coexist with
Windows CE ?!
->
I mean, having a simple app on your "Program" Menue called "CELinux" that
would start a Linux session, completely erasing every trace of WinCE, but as
soon as you do a Soft Reset ( or use a kind of "exit" function in this Linux
implementation ) you would be back to WinCE ?
I think with prices of CF and Microdrives coming down i'd love to have
everything but the loader on my storage card and a "normal" iPaq in the
Units' Memory ...
I mainly have 2 reasons for asking this:
-1- I am afraid of ruining my ipaq with flashing it useless ...
-2- Sorry to all you Microsoft bashers, but i NEED the PIM Functions of
Windows CE, or is there an existing Software on Linux that could sync with
my Outlook ( i hate it and i love it ), so i could have easy access to my
Contacts & Appointments in Linux ?!
Nils
Sorry for sounding so naive, but thats what i would really love :-)
