Chris,

Work is under way to get a network driver finished which will allow you
to connect your iPAQ to the network using the USB as a data link layer.

We have two drivers. One supplied by Brad Parker the other one by
myself. Brad's driver, tested on the Assabet, implements the new generic
DMA API while mine uses the old API. I am working with Brad to try and
get his code working on the iPAQ. Maybe you will want to give both of
them a go?

The drivers can be found at:-

The sources for the first client driver can be found at
/arch/arm/mach-sa1100/usb_xxx.[c/h].
The sources for the first host driver can be found at
./drivers/usb/usb-net-host.c
Documentation can be found at Documentation/arm/SA1100/SA1100_USB

The sources for the second driver can be found at
http://www.handhelds.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/linux/kernel/drivers/usb/
The client driver files are named usbc_h3600_xxx.[c/h] and the host
driver is named usbh_h3600.[c/h]
Documentation can be found at
http://www.handhelds.org/projects/usbconfig.html.

Eventually ( sooner than later) both drivers will merge into a single
driver using the new generic DMA API.

Regards
Charlie
