[iPAQ] iPAQ 3835 MMC Benchmark

Under 0.6.1 I tested a Memorex 64 MB MMC card in a 3835 using this command
line:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/card/filename bs=1k count=1000

and found that it took about 7 seconds with the following output:

1000+0 records in
1000+0 records out

Does this mean that writing 1 MB to the MMC card is only running at roughly
140 KB/second? With larger block sizes (up to 1 MB) the speed is only
marginally faster.

Any ideas about why these numbers are so low?
