[iPAQ] bootloader and restoring the root partition

hi,

after i've configured my ipaq h3870 with familiar i did a root file
system backup with the bootloader. it was about 32mb of jffs2. yesterday
was the day when i had to restore the working root but when i did a load
root with the bootloader, it hang up after the xmodem transfer. i'm
using the bootloader version 2.18.54.
what did i wrong?
