Hi,

I downloaded bootldr-2.18.01 abd BiitBkaster_1.18.exe from the ftp site
and successfully loaded in my Company IPAQ model 3635. If I go to
Bootblaster -> flash -> verify, I could see the following statement
popping up: "You appear to have a valid OHH Bootloader 2.18.1 in flash. To
access this Bootloader on the serial port, hold the joypad center and
reset." Now I am stuck at this stage.

I tried resetting my IPAQ by keeping my left hand thumb at the center of
the display screen (which I believe is being mentioned everywhere as the
joypad center) and using the stick I pressed the reset button, which is at
the bottom right of the ipaq. After this as per the instructions available
in many sites, as well as your's, I am suppose to get the "boot>"prompt to
enter characters, after placing my ipaq on the cradle. But, once I press
the reset button for few seconds and leave, I could see the same WINCE
front page appearing again and again. I also read that after pressing the
reset button, I am suppose to place my ipaq on the cradle, which should
have connection to a PC thro' a USB or serial port connectivity. I also
did that and had my hyperterminal set with proper setting of baud rate and
flow control. As suggested I typed some space bars and pressed enter
button in the hyperterminal, for getting the boot> prompt. I am not
getting anything.

I am also wondering if I need to connect my ipaq thro' any one of the com
port (serial port) available in my PC instead of connecting thro' the USB.
I don't have a serial cable coming out of my IPAQ. All I have is a USB. If
serial cable is a necessity, I can purchase a "USB to Serial port"
connector and connect my IPAQ via serial port.

Please let me know, if I have to do anything more to get my ipaq show me
the "boot>" prompt. I can't wait to see my Ipaq running on Linux. Please
help me in this regard and I would really appreciate your clear reply.

Thanks,
Mukesh
