Hi there,
cross-posting seems pretty normal around here (at least from what I can
see), so there you go...
At http://www.lucid-cake.net/osx_zaurus_usb/index_en.html you can
download a USB-ethernet driver for Mac OS X. It's reported to work
mostly well with an H3635 and an H3870. However, the H3870 has some
performance problems when uploading large files to the iPaq which may
be related to one of the following:
- CPU stepping (the 3870 I've tested is B4). I've heard this stepping
may cause problems.
- Module versions. I'm using the 0.6.1 distribution of Familiar/Opie,
but I will try to update it shortly to see if the problem remains.
I would be glad if someone could shed some light on this issue so I can
fix the driver (if it's really the driver's fault).
A word of warning: This software is only alpha-quality, so be prepared
for all kinds of nasty failures (most likely kernel panics on the Mac)!
Best regards
Andreas
