[iPAQ] sync & network troubles...

Hi,
        Last night I got linux installed on my 3835 at my local LUG. I like
it, but i'm having configuration nightmares right now trying to get this
thing to sync with qtopia desktop AND allow it to see the internet (for
software installs).

        I've successfully ssh'd into the ipaq with both serial AND usb, but the
desktop app won't link up so I can't sync or install software via it's
interface. This is semi-distressing, and I hope you can help me out.

        If you can help me out, let me know what other info you need.... I am
running opie, if that makes a difference...
