[iPAQ] Kernel 2.4.19 sa1100

I try the 2.4.19 kernel on 3870 and I have two problem:
1) I see: modprobe: can't locale net-pf-27 modules.
   To solve this problem I have insert "alias net-pf-27 off" in
/etc/modules.conf. (????)
2) h3600_hal.c (function asset_read()) return wrong character!! I can't
read Serial # and other data
