Greetings,
I wish to build the boot loader and kernel for my Xscale/3900 iPAQ. I
checked out the latest bootldr and kernel source from the handhelds CVS
repository.
I searched the lists for references to a prebuilt toolchain, and tried to
use the few that were referenced but encountered problems.
I'd like to make sure I'm using the best prebuilt toolchain before
attempting debug the problems. I tried to use the (V3.2) toolchain from
ftp.arm.linux.org.uk site but get the following error:
"arm-linux-ar: error while loading shared libraries: arm-linux-ar: symbol
fnmatch, version GLIBC_2.2.3 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time
reference"
Is this the recommended pre-built toolchain to use, and if so any
suggestions as resolving this error (I suspect I may need to the x86 version
of GLIBC). I a better pre-built toolchain is available, please let me know.
Any other advise would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
*E
