[iPAQ] question: Ipaq & 802.11

I have just installed v0.16 on my brand new ipaq and I would like
to be able to use Lucent's gold wavelan (802.11) card.
Unfortunatelly I get a kernel "oops" similar to the one described
by other people in the list.

Is there any version where this card works? and if so, which
versions of the init/root/usr/zimage cramfs should I use?

This BTW, brings another question. According to the instructions in
"ftp://ftp.handhelds.org/pub/linux/compaq/ipaq/v0.16/install.html"
in order to run v016 I need:
  init-2.44.cramfs
  root-2-44.cramfs
  usr-2-44.cramfs
  zImage-2.4.0-test8-rmk2-np2-hh2
But I saw that there are newer versions for some of these files:
   init-2.56.cramfs
   root-2.53.cramfs
   usr-2.54.cramfs
Should I try these newer ones? Is there a problem with mixing
older & newer versions ??

Thanks in advance for any help!
