Note: the switch at the bottom of the unit is a "disconnect the battery"
switch: the battery will NOT charge unless the unit is "on".
So leave it in the cradle for a full charge: the LED will stop blinking
when it reaches full charge.
Also, the front light takes alot of power: turn it off or set it to its
lowest setting to maximize longevity. Someone on the list reports we're
up to around 9 hours duration.
If indeed you have a battery failure, I would expect it to be covered
under warranty.
