Just thought I'd let you all know that I (finally!) dropped 0.17beta
onto my iPaq: just in time for the Rice Linux Users Group meeting,
where we had someone from Compaq's "Industry Standard (a.k.a. Intel)
Server Division" come talk about linux on Compaq hardware. He brought
a 1U Proliant rackmount server to show off, and talked about some of
the management software thy're developing. He had a slide about other
Compaq hardware that runs Linux, with a picture of the H36X0 on it:
was happy to see one in person.
Anyway, everything seemed to work pretty well. I just did the WinCE
restore, to test that as well. Went fine, modulo the known problem with
having to hand erase the flash for the 00c00000 image, so add me to the
count of successful restores. I'd even make a data backup to CF card,
so was able to restore everything to where it was before.
