[iPAQ] Unexpected reset w/ CRL bootldr

I guess this was a kick in the butt to push intrepidly forward, and I have a
backup so I'm not in trouble - but I'm curious as to *why* this happened:

I installed bootloader 2.18.01 and reset so I could see the penguin ;) I
pressed "task manager," labelled 'boot operating system' which I thought would
boot my WinCE install. Whoops - that did the equivalent of a hard reset! I'm
confused why this happened - obviously my understanding of the bootloader is
incomplete, can anybody help explain what happened?
