[iPAQ] TTF font usage

Hi all!
I am currently in the middle of tryiong to install most of GPE on a virgin device. While doing so I found that many packages rely on the existance of TTF fonts, especially on those fonts provided by M$, e.g. Verdana.
Those fonts are npot entirely free. Especially they cannot be provided by any distribution (that's why they are not in Familiar).

So my big please:
Could those developers and/or package maintainers plase either provide a free alternative or change the font specification to something more reasonable?

If you do not have the monospace M$ font installed, for example a rxvt-aa is unreadable! And many others are too or at least look crappy...
