Re: [iPAQ] french electricity?

you may not be aware of the pc2002 charging process, I certainly am having
problems with it.

with my current setup, since re-installing my wince.gz:
the light flashes, when plugged in, even though the unit is not charging,
this happens in the UK as well, which I had not appreciated.
on occassion it also flashes when not connect to the mains.

I'm fairly certain this is not linux behaviour, i dont know if it is pc2002
standard behaviour, but it is not rational.
I only installed this immediately before going to france, and have only just
returned, so it is a little difficult to abstract what the cause is.

If anyone has experience of this I'd like some constructive discussion, as
the current system is nothing like transparent.
(for instance that a flashing light means the unit is charging)

otherwise please don't add your personal considerations about this issue, we
already have a quorum of these.
smart-ass responses get us nowhere, (I also studied physics, it is
conceivable that a reduced voltage might prevent charging, for some reason).
actually there were 2 donkeys, a wild doe and a sanglier in the field
outside.

thanks again

jonathan
