Well, there is undoubtedly some issue with the charging setup, as surely the
light should not flash if there is not appropriate mains, and the battery is
not fully charged.
I was stuck well in the outback, a small farm some kilometers outside a
village ~100Km from Bordeaux.
the 3 pin dual wall socket was running a toaster, however
I didn't swap sockets(no time, as we left the next day)
(The lights flashed in the normal way)
the charging light flashed regularly after being removed from the mains.
Has anyone seen the meter for the secondary cycling? ie it shows empty >>
full over a few seconds repeatedly.
The secondary sleeve battery appeared to fully charge, when connected, but
seems not to be useable, unless the primary has some charge.
It was all together a rather surreal and upsetting experience, totally
unlike what happens in the UK, under linux.
ps. it also seems that under windows the unit does not charge when off,(the
light still flashes) is this normal?( i've had to change my settings so the
unit is not switched off when plugged in.)
I'm sure under linux this wasn't so.
Apologies for this windows guf, I'm back to linux in a week or so, just
checking it out, whilst my lan is being upgraded to wifi, and awaiting
parts...
