[iPAQ] wince re-install

Hi all,
Anyone come across this before ?
I loaded Familiar, on my 3870 using bootblaster 1.18 and bootldr 2.18.01
and later reloaded Wince using the Image on the FTP server as my original
was corrupt.

As this version was 2.15, I tried to use the compaq upgrade SP21465, to
upgrade to 2.20, one of the steps is to push buttons 2,4,and the power
button while using he stylus to reset the thing, supposedly to get it in to
update mode., and a remote usb box is supposed to appear.
As much as i pushed this box failed to appear, As the thing came with 2.15
when i first got it I managed the upgrade it before i loaded linux. The
helpdesk think that there is a hardware error on the buttons, but all the
buttons seem to work

Anyone have any ideas or come across this before??
