For what it's worth, I've charged my iPAQ(s) in Spain, Belgium, the USA and
the Netherlands. When I bought my 3870 a couple of months ago, the guy sold
me a 'European version' which he said was exactly the same as the UK one,
but with a European plug, and he threw in an adapter. The european plug has
exactly the same rating on it as the UK plug, and I was happy, as I got a
European->UK adapter for free, and a European plug charger for when I travel
:-)

To put it another way, this doesn't sound like my experience at all :-(

Cheers
Richard
