Any working linux installation will do. if you want extended
"simulation" use an x-server that works on your existing x-server with
reolution set to 320x240.
You have to do some adjustions to make your i386 code work on the iPaq
but this are minimal (I hope) and can be done on the iPaq only. If you
neede the iPaq's hardware than you must get a second iPaq. But this
should be rare, as you can emulate most of the hardware, too.
