[iPAQ] mounting a 2Gb pcmcia HD on a laptop (running Suse 8.0) slightly off topic?

sorry but i mounted* this quite happily on the ipaq, and can't figure out how to mount it on a laptop.

*mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/hda

/dev/hda1 is my 'C' drive, so that can't be right.
